Hospital Expenses

I thought I would share the information I just got from my insurance company about how much it cost to have Elliott.

The hospital billed my insurance company $12539.30, for which the insurance company adjusted the amount to $7272.00. This includes the delivery and the hospital stay from February 6th to February 8th.

I find this expense staggering. However, not as crazy as my trip to the hospital the previous Wednesday. They billed the insurance company $5509.60, for which the insurance company adjusted the amount to $3452.oo. I was admitted at approximately 7:00pm and discharged at around 9:00pm on February 4th!

Insanity. Nuff said.
