Laughing, Part II

I wanted to share a little story about another milestone. Tonight Elliott laughed AT something. Now, he's smiled at things since he has been smiling. But, previously he had only laughed in response to us or something we were doing to him. So what brought on this new ability tonight? Jenny, of course. He has realized she was around for a couple months and likes to watch her walking around (and liking milk out of my cereal bowl when I'm done with breakfast). But tonight, he realized how FUNNY she was.

I was on the floor with Elliott on my lap facing out so that he could watch while I played ball with her. She was squeaking one of her balls about three feet away from us when he just started laughing. And it was the longest burst of laughter we'd heard yet. Then as she started running back and forth, he would laugh every time she came tearing by. It was so awesome to hear him enjoy her. I'm sure this is the first of many such occurrences, so I'm sure we'll get one on video...eventually. ;)
