2 weeks later...

And this is our kitchen:

And this is our bathroom:

(We are actually open to the neighbor's bathroom at the top of the ceiling. We can see each other's lights turn on. Isn't that quaint? ;)

The short of it:

1. everything's dry.
2. the adjuster came out on Tuesday, took photos and apparently decided how much it was worth to repair.
3. they are now making arrangement to get a check to our property manager.
4. at some point repairs will be made.
5. at which point the insurance company will pay for us to stay at a suite hotel.
6. we are putting together our personal property damage claim together.
7. we are over eating out.
8. i'm dying for vegetables.
9. this has been a very unsettling week.
10. time for a relaxing bath! nevermind. :P
